McCormick Farm Toys

McCormick dates back to 1831 when Cyrus McCormick built a reaper and then received a patent for a plow, called the Hill Side Plow.  With these two inventions under it's belt, the company grew and built manufacturing facilities for it's agricultural equipment, until the Great Chicago Fire destroyed it's plant.  Even though the company was insured, it still ended up costing Cyrus over $600,000 out of his own pocket in expenses to rebuild.  After his death, the company continued to grow and joined together with a few other companies to form a new company called International Harvester.

International Harvester went on to be quite successful and in 1968 they introduced the McCormick International B-634 tractor and other B series models which proved to be highly successful. As competition in the agricultural and tractor market increased, International Harvester was sold to the company that we know today as CNH, or Case-New Holland.

Currently, McCormick is owned my ARGO, S.p.a of Italy, which builds tractors that range in size from 21hp to 176hp. From the smaller C-Max series which includes tractors from 54 to 91 HP, all the way up to the giant TTX series which includes a model up to 203HP, McCormick tractors are at home on the farm and are work hard.

Because of the rich history in the farm equipment business with many acquisitions, diecast McCormick tractors are a great addition to your diecast collection.
